How a claim works

You stay the claimant throughout. Nothing is assigned to us, and the airline deals with you, which is also why it pays attention.

  1. 1. Find your flight

Airport and day, or the flight number. We read the real arrival time and you see straight away whether you’re owed money, and how much. Free.

  2. 2. Sign, and we send it in your name

A letter in the airline’s language citing Article 7 and the rulings that matter, from your own email with our tracking address in copy. Read the letter.

  3. 3. You get paid, then pay us

We chase the airline: a reminder at day 30, a rebuttal if they refuse, a complaint to the regulator if needed. When they pay, you pay us €49 per booking. If they don’t, nothing.

Where €600 goes

Claim agencies work on a success fee. It sounds free until the money arrives. Flyback charges one flat fee, and only if you’re paid. The payout is yours.

Agency fees are the published standard rates of the largest claim companies, October 2026. A family of four on the same booking pays Flyback once.

This is what your result looks like

What you’re owed, why, and what you keep. If your flight isn’t owed anything, we say so just as plainly and there’s no checkout.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to claim compensation under Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 in respect of flight AH2007 from MAD to ALG scheduled on 2026-10-25, on which the following passengers held confirmed reservations: your name.

The flight arrived at its final destination 3h 27m after the scheduled arrival time. In accordance with the judgment of the Court of Justice in Joined Cases C-402/07 and C-432/07 (Sturgeon) and C-581/10 (Nelson), passengers whose flights arrive three hours or more after the scheduled arrival time are entitled to compensation as if the flight had been cancelled. …

“I watched a client hand over €210 of a €600 claim for one letter that took ten minutes. The law is clear and the airlines know it. People just need the letter, and someone in their corner when the airline says no.”

Flyback’s founder is a consumer-rights lawyer in Seville. Flyback is software; you file your own claim and we never take a share of it.

The law. Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, in force since 2005, and the UK’s identical rule. Compensation is fixed by distance, not by fare.

The threshold. Three hours late at arrival, measured when the doors open, or cancellation with under fourteen days’ notice.

The catch. Airlines may refuse for extraordinary circumstances. Technical faults and crew shortages are not extraordinary. Weather and air-traffic control can be. The burden of proof is theirs.
